Ian Souch was taught by Chris Rooke (A british trained Teacher) in South Africa, initially in the early nineties, before being trained by AK Baynes where he obtained his teacher qualification.
AK was trained by Master Su Chin Miel, who happened to be Master of the School of martial arts that Ian initially attended whilst at University.

Ian later trained under various schools in the UK on travelling here including Wu style tai chi with Michael Jaques (Zenon Wudang Tai Chi Chuan School) affiliated to Dan Docherty, and then with Audra Marshall from the Wu Tan Tai Chi UK.

Ian has been very involved in the study of  Chen style Tai Chi under Eva and Karel Koskuba, from the Chinese Internal Arts Association in Reading.
Their tutelage has been under Grandmaster Chen Xiowang  who is the 19th generation lineage holder of Chen-style Tai Chi Chuan. He attended several seminars with him in the past, as well as with Grandmaster Zhu Changhai who is based in Belfast.

Ian presently teaches Chen style Tai Chi in Marlow.

However, he continues his development in Yang style with Zibi Panasecwicz who is affiliated to YMAA (Master Yang Jwing Ming of Yang's Martial Arts Association). Here, study is based on the Yang Long form, martial applications and chi-kung.

Ian has attended training camps in Portugal and Poland with Masters Robert Was (YMAA Poland) and Pedro Rodrigues (YMAA Portugal).
